The bioinert Scepter column has a polymer-lined stainless steel body with a high pressure polymer frit for a completely metal-free flowpath. The organosilane hybrid particle with a phenylbutyl ligand provides unique selectivity compared to a C8 or C18 due to pi-pi interactions between the analyte and stationary phase. The phenyl phase is recommended for the analysis of aromatic compounds, isomers, and structural analogs, and can be used in 100% aqueous conditions. Inert column hardware eliminates adsorption and reduces tailing for compounds that tend to form chelates with metal surfaces, especially those containing phosphate groups.
